Shortest harvest ever
The hot year left its mark. The harvest started early and was over at record speed. During the harvest days it was still uncomfortably hot, which is disadvantageous for the quality of the grapes and the fruitiness of the wines afterwards. Morning shifts were on the agenda. We began harvesting far too early in the morning so that we could pick the grapes as cool as possible. The starry sky and clear air rewarded us.

Sweet roller coaster
At first, the grape's sugar levels were far too high, far too early. We were in a hurry. Then the heavy rain came and the sugar decreased partially. Suddenly, some vineyards had to wait for the perfect day for picking. The final picking was our 8000 Ried Laa Weinviertel DAC Reserve Grüner Veltliner.
