Harvest 2026 is finished
The earliest harvest ever started as quickly as it ended. We wanted to send you reports on ripeness checks, preparations and the harvest itself. But we started much earlier than expected and couldn't share any updates with you. You can now find a comprehensive report online.
Here's the most important information:
🏃 we've never started and finished a harvest this early before
📈 drought and heat caused sugar levels to skyrocket and acidity to plummet
🚱 approximately 30% less yield than average
🌠 many night shifts were necessary to bring the grapes cool in the cellar
How we dealt with this, what kept us busy during the harvest and a glimpse into the future can be found online.
What does this mean for the 2026 vintage?
Moderate alcohol, pleasant (not too low) acidity, and fruity/elegant wines. We always start ripeness checks early in the summer, which allowed us to begin the harvest in time.
