200mm in 4 days
We in the village Hohenwarth (high point of view) are 200m higher than the Danube or the Kamp river and have no water around us. So we got away with only marginal damage. The heavy storm knocked over some vineyards and they had to be pushed back into position using muscle power. Rows that had already been harvested withstood the strong wind better, because the weight was much lighter there.
Our thoughts are with the people who have lost a beloved person, their house or their business. Some regions got off lucky after days of fearing the worst.
