Spring started in the vineyards

What's the situation now?

In the time between January and May 210mm rain fell, which is approximately half of our yearly rainfall. The vegetation is 4 days behind average, because of the cold May. (Österreichische Hagelversicherung)

The vines sprout and therefore we start with the first part of canopy management: remove the unwanted leaves from the old wood. Desired shoots will have more space and this supports the grape's quality and health.

Mother nature shows us currently one of her most beautiful sides and we want to share them with you. Iris, rosemary, sand-thyme, lilac, salvia, chervil and many more let our eyes shine.
